Installation Process: Siding (Vinyl, Aluminum, Wood)

When installing our spray foam product into existing walls with vinyl, aluminum, or wood siding facades, the process is fairly straightforward. First, a row of siding mid-way up is removed on all walls to be insulated, which allows us access to the backer boards behind. We then drill a 1"-2" hole through the backer board.

There are occasional circumstances which require a second hole to be drilled. Examples of these situations would be: the presence of firestops inside the walls, cracked or damaged interior walls, etc. Each project is carefully and individually assessed to make sure all the proper procedures are being used to ensure a complete and safe installation.

Once the holes have been drilled into the backer board, the foam will be injected into the wall cavity by inserting a hose through the hole. Our installers attentively monitor the equipment's gauges, as well as watch the process visually, while installing the foam insulation. Every FoamXperts installer is carefully trained and certified in the installation process and handling of the product.

Following the complete filling of each cavity, a wood or Styrofoam plug is inserted into each hole. The siding is then replaced, completing the job. Most houses can typically be finished in 1-2 days.
